  1. The Beginning

    Where we began.

Every family has a story. Ours just happens to be told through cars.

Long before Westend Motors existed, our family's journey in the South African motor industry began with Country Car Sales in the 1980s β€” a modest lot at 9 Hindson Grove, Clairwood, with bunting strung across the forecourt and a hand-painted board promising quality used cars.

For more than four decades since, our family has believed that relationships matter, reputation is earned, and every customer deserves to be treated with respect.

  2. The City That Raised Us

    Durban, our home ground.

Our trade grew up alongside the city itself β€” trams on West Street, the promenade packed shoulder to shoulder on a Sunday, the City Hall clock keeping time over it all.

Generations of Durban families learned to drive, to work and to travel in cars bought from lots like ours. That history is the reason we still measure ourselves by the handshake rather than the transaction.

  3. Growing Up On West Street

A street that never stood still.

As Durban changed, so did we. West Street filled with traffic, shopfronts and noise, and the motor trade changed with it β€” new brands, new finance, new expectations from buyers.

We moved with the city rather than against it, learning the trade one deal at a time and building a name that travelled by word of mouth long before it travelled online.

  4. Today

    Where we are today.

Today, Westend Motors proudly continues that legacy from 148/150 West Street (now known as Dr Pixley KaSeme Street). While the motor industry has changed significantly over the years, our values have remained remarkably consistent.

We've embraced modern systems, digital technology and contemporary customer experiences while staying true to the principles that built our family's reputation β€” every car inspected end-to-end, DEKRA-tested, backed by warranty, and finance shopped across all major banks so you get one honest answer.

  5. The People

    Two thousand five hundred stories.

Our business is built on more than vehicles. It's built on people and relationships.

The wall in our showroom says it better than we can: hundreds of handovers, keys passed across, first cars and family cars and long-awaited upgrades.

We believe in treating every customer with respect, taking the time to understand their needs and creating an experience that feels personal rather than transactional.

  6. Looking Ahead

    The next generation.

As the next generation continues to build on the foundations laid before us, our focus remains the same β€” to keep improving, keep innovating and continue serving our customers with the same care and commitment that has defined our family for decades.

While we embrace modern motoring, technology and new ways of doing business, we'll always remain true to what matters most: family, relationships and doing our best for every customer who walks through our doors.
